In the middle of the 21st century, one of the most touristic places in the entire world is living with the worst Wi-fi internet connection. Open your dialer and dial *#06# and send/call. This command will bring up a screen with barcodes and numbers – if you can see “EID” with a number there, then your device is 100% compatible with eSIM. Unfortunately, if you don’t, it is not.

REQUIREMENTS TO BUY YOUR PREPAID CHIP
On Santa Cruz Island, there is an office of the CLARO company on Av. Baltra and Charles Binford. It’s always empty, and the procedure will only take you between 5 to 20 minutes.
Once this is set up, you can enjoy being connected while exploring the Galapagos Islands, uploading videos to your Instagram story and sharing your experiences in your WhatsApp groups.
