TRAVEL SAFE THROUGH THE GALAPAGOS
After a lot of research, I found a travel assistance service that really works and helps in difficult moments. Good travel insurance that covers flight cancellations is key and, in purchasing this, travelers that visit my blog also get a 5% discount.
Hi,
How far ahead do you recommend booking a tour. I will be coming to the islands in January of 2024.
Thanks
Jeanne
It depends, if it is between the first 15 days of January, I recommend doing it from May
Choko, I discovered you on Random Trip by Ines and Chris. I have just begun investigating a trip to the Galapagos islands. It will be my wife and I and we are thinking about going March of 23. I will be 70 and she 67, but we are both very active hikers, bikers, and like to snorkel. We are most interested in doing a land based trip with day tours to different islands. We want to see more of the local culture and are somewhat concerned about cost. We hope to book tours thru Chokotrip but want to get further along with our planning before booking. We will probably to the personalized assessment too. But first a few questions: is our timing ok for a trip in March? Is there good availability still? Do you also work with accommodations? We may be interested in 2 weeks on the islands if we can find reasonable accommodations, with the ability to cook some of our meals.
Hi Douglas, sure, the dates are super good and accommodation if you can find a kitchen so they can cook.
