TRAVEL SAFE THROUGH THE GALAPAGOS
After a lot of research, I found a travel assistance service that really works and helps in difficult moments. Good travel insurance that covers flight cancellations is key and, in purchasing this, travelers that visit my blog also get a 5% discount.
Floreana Island i really unique, it’s one of the day trip i liked most. The island itself is incredibly green, plenty of trees of oranges, waba and different plants, with a fascinating history. Also the stop to the beach was nice, plenty of sea turtles to play with. It would also be nice, if you have the chance, to stay overnight on the island, there are a few resorts and restaurants there
This Floreana tour one was not my favorite. A very long day traveling for a relatively uneventful stop. This tour skips Post Office Bay and doesn’t really do much wildlife exploration either. Seeing the tortoises was cool and we did get to swim with a number of sea turtles, but I would probably choose something else if I had it to do over.
Great tour of Floreana Island. Our guide was very informative about the island and it’s history. We enjoyed the snorkeling adventure where we saw sea turtles swimming around us. We also saw many sea lions, iguanas, and tortoises. There is some interesting land formations in the highlands and some intriguing history from turn of the century inhabitants. It was a lovely day. The boat that takes you there is a speed boat, and the ride is about 2 hours. Having read this ahead of time I took Dramamine. I recommend this as seas were rough and several people were sick. Great trip and everything went as planned.
Awesome Tour. The Tour to Floreana was my favourite. We did fantastic snorkeling where we have seen a sea lion playing with us and even a Pinguin. The trip to the Highlands was great and interesting. We didn’t expect that. We also took a postcard from the Replica of the famous Post Office Bay with us. Best trip was to Floreana, even all trips organized by choko were good and worth it.
A really good tour! We wanted to sample another island and this tour had enough variety for us. Particularly enjoyed the walk to the pirate caves. Spectacular views. Lunch was excellent and the tour was well organised. Guide was knowledgeable and patient. And the cost was much less than if we’d gone through one of the more we’ll known agents.
The organization for the tour was perfect. Choko made it easy and safe. Concerning the tour itself, it was nice but not the best experience we had in the Galapagos. Considering the fact that we were more about to watch birds, it was not the best place to go. Anyway, the tour guide was very good and friendly, more that I was expecting for a day tour. The historical part of the visit if quite interesting but it deals more with german history that I didn’t know.
We were very happy with the tour of Floreana arranged via Choko Trip. While it is possible to book tours in person once you arrive, it was convenient to arrange in advance so we didn’t have to worry about shopping around once we got there, and Christian was the only operator I could find who accepted PayPal. Our guide was very knowledgable and lunch was delicious and included vegetarian-friendly options. We had a great time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Floreana island arranged by Choko Trip. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Giant Tortoises and the island and it’s past history. Lunch was fabulous, much more than we expected on this tour. Choko took the time to explain the tours to us and made all of the necessary arrangements. I am very thankful we made contact with Choko prior to our vacation in the Galapagos islands as he took the time to recommend which tours/islands to make our stay a memorable one. Thank you Choko Trips! We will definitely be in contact when we return again.
