Floreana island | Tour From $160 | Galapagos
Floreana Island was the first island on the Galapagos that I toured and I fell in love with its history and nature. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to swim with Galapagos penguins. I can help you book the tour to Floreana Island for*$160
Floreana Island (Galapagos – Ecuador) is the fourth habitable island. Currently, it offers limited accommodation and food & drink options for day tour visitors and those that wish to spend a few nights.
How to get to Floreana Island?
There are two ways to get to Floreana Island in the Galapagos. First, you can take a Galapagos cruise that includes Floreana Island on its itinerary or two, you can take a day tour from Santa Cruz Island.
The trip to Floreana by cruise stops at places that you won’t see on a day tour. You can also go on your own with the ferry or speedboat.
Once in Floreana we will head to “Asilo de la paz” in a chiva, here the attractions are based on historical concepts, in the Asilo you will be able to go to the pirates cave and also to the fresh water spring. These two sites are located in the highlands of Floreana.
Additionally you will also learn about the first families arriving and settling down in the Galapagos Islands, and the famous true story of the “Baronesa” who was a woman who had her two lovers and pretended to be the owner of the Island.
After this we will visit “La Loberia” which is a path of 900 m long. Here you will be able to see Sea Lions and marine iguanas as well. Later on we will continue to Playa Negra so you can relax and enjoy some beach time. You will also have time to do snorkel. Late in the afternoon we will return in the speed boat to Isla Santa Cruz.
Due to the pandemic, another route to Floreana Island was opened that does not require travelers to arrive at the port. This new tour stop through the following sites: Islote Enderbi por a pangaride, pirate caves where you can hike to a viewpoint and Cormorant Point where you can snorkel.
