North Seymour Island day tour from Santa Cruz (Galapagos)
Walk across uninhabited islands in their untouched, natural state. I can help you book the tour to North Seymour from $190
This daily tour to North Seymour Island is ideal for those who would enjoy a short walk on an uninhabitable island with the opportunity to observe diverse wildlife, including land iguanas and numerous bird species.
There are two stops on this tour (view a map at the bottom of this page):
Stop 1:Las Bachas beach (snorkeling. NOTE: this beach might be visited after Seymour Island)
Stop 2: Seymour Island (1.5 hr walk and birdwatching)
The tour starts at a meeting place assigned by the tour operator, then a 45-minute journey by bus to the Itabaca Pier in Santa Cruz Island. Either before or after going to North Seymour Island, you’ll visit the beach called Las Bachas for a short walk to a lagoon where, if you’re lucky, you’ll see flamingos. Then you can snorkel at the beach and potentially observe sea turtles and a variety of fish species.
The walk on Seymour Island takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the path takes you to a habitat teeming with bird species. You’ll see red-chested frigates, iguanas, blue footed boobies, among other bird species.
During all this time working with different vessels, I’ve realized that those who offer low prices are the ones who receive the most complaints from their passengers. If you are going to travel to Seymour North Island, you need a boat with high-quality service and a crew that prioritizes your travel experience.
