Pinzon Island + La Fe beach + Las Palmitas beach
Swim with sea lions, sharks, sting rays and penguins. I can help you book the tour to Pinzon from $135.
I visited Pinzón Island with my family almost at the end of our vacation. We arrived at a place called Bahía Pingüino, the first point of the tour. We were lucky to see the Galapagos sharks of Punta Blanca very close to us, I can not lie, it’s scary. However, you can also swim near the Turtles and Penguins, of course without harassing or chasing them. Unfortunately, the sea lions were not there, because when there are sharks around, they prefer to go to a safe place. (You can’t always observe penguins and shark on the island.)

We reached the first stop, called Penguin Bay, and were lucky enough to see Galapagos and white-tipped sharks nearby. I’m not going to lie; it was pretty scary!
Sea turtles and penguins swam close by and we observed without harassing or following them. The sea lions weren’t around due to the sharks and keep in mind that penguins are only present when water temperatures drop.
After the visit to Pinzon, you’ll head to “Roca sin nombre” (a rock without a name) that measures about 20 meters that is located in the middle of the ocean. Here, you can see blue-footed boobies, lava gulls, sea lions and you can also participate in an artisanal cane fishing demonstration.
This tour combines with a visit to La Fe or Las Palmitas, beautiful beaches where you can snorkel with sea turtles. Depending on the permit your vessel has, you might visit this spot before or after visiting Pinzón Island.
